Real Racing 3 has continued to be one of the most popular racing games on iPhone and Android for its realistic racing style, along with EA’s other game, the arcade-style Need for Speed: No Limits. Both games have their advantages, but for those wanting a real challenge Real Racing 3 is it.

The game has been available for a long time on Android and iPhone, but that doesn’t mean it’s getting old. In fact, Electronic Arts continuously updates it with more features, new race tracks, brand new “hypercars” and more to keep players interested. There are a lot of in-app purchases that can get extremely expensive, and today they unveiled some awesome new additions worth saving up for, or spending money on.

Real Racing 3 is a free-to-play title, but as we mentioned above, there are dozens and dozens of in-app purchases. From buying new cars, unlocking parts or timers and more. It’s a money pit for those who love the game and don’t want to slowly save up in-game currency, and today we have even more to share with racers.

This week both the Android and iOS version of Real Racing 3 received one of the bigger updates we’ve seen in a while. Above is a brand new video showing off four brand new vehicles they’re calling “hypercars” not super-cars, because they’re just that fast, and some of the most exclusive and rarest cars on the planet. This update brings new cars, more challenges, improved team goals and more rewards than ever. Saving up is hard enough already, but extra rewards and team goals should help out. Here’s what’s new:

Get behind the wheel of the rarest cars on earth: Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4, Aston Martin Vulcan, Koenigsegg Regera and McLaren MP4-12C Spyder.
• New Gauntlet challenge with many fantastic rewards! Starts Dec 1.
• Ride the Storm – win the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4. Starts Dec 10.
• Reign Supreme – get the 2016 Koenigsegg Regera. Starts Dec 24.
• Speedrush TV – win the 2013 McLaren 12C Spider. Starts Jan 3.
• Improved Race Teams – extra rewards, Team Goals, Team Search and more!

The four impressive new super-cars announced above will be available to purchase, for likely way too much real money. Or racers can save up and buy them with in-game currency. Electronic Arts also confirmed those four new cars can be unlocked completely free with upcoming events as detailed above. The Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 can be won in the “Ride the Storm” tournament on December 7-10th, and the others can be won in upcoming challenges that will be released in the next few weeks.

Fans will also want to keep grinding for more parts, in order to have the fastest car on the track. That’s because the other three cars will be available soon too. In fact, the Reign Supreme tournament will be December 24, on Christmas Eve, and will award winners the 2016 Koenigsegg Regera. That’s the car I want. And finally, the Speedrush TV event on January 3 gives players an opportunity to score the 2013 McLaren 12C Spider.
Those who are unable to win these events and unlock any of the four new hyper-cars can always save up and unlock them later, if you can save that much. Or just spend real money with in-app purchases to buy these new additions. Although they’ll surely cost an arm and a leg.
EA also improved the Race teams, added new and better rewards, new team goals to work towards, a team search option to find friends and much more. The update is available today for Apple and Android devices as we speak.
