The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Marshmallow update is confirmed but it’s still missing in action for just about everyone. With the year coming to an end, we want to take a look at the state of the Galaxy Note 4 Marshmallow release. This is what you need to know.

In late September, Google confirmed the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and its release date. In October, Android 6.0 Marshmallow started rolling out to Nexus devices. And in the weeks since we’ve seen it roll out to other Android devices.

While companies like HTC and Motorola have provided detailed information to their users, Samsung, the world’s largest Android manufacturer, has remained largely silent about its plans for Galaxy Marshmallow updates.

Samsung Galaxy users continue to wait for the company’s first major Android Marshmallow roll out and Galaxy Note 4 users are hopeful that their device will be among the first to get Google’s new operating system.

We haven’t seen the first major push but we have seen Samsung Galaxy Marshmallow details emerge and today we want to take a look at everything we know, so far, about the Galaxy Note 4 Marshmallow update and its release.

This roundup takes a look a look at the Galaxy Note 4 Marshmallow update’s release date, its features, and some information about a new version of Android 6.0 that Google just rolled out a few short hours ago. Keep these things in mind as we push towards the new year.

Galaxy Note 4 Marshmallow Update Confirmed

Samsung isn't talking about the Galaxy Note 4 Marshmallow update but we know that the upgrade is on the way for users in the United States.

Several weeks ago, T-Mobile confirmed plans to release the Galaxy Note 4 Marshmallow update. The carrier hasn't confirmed a specific release window or date. At least not yet.

The update remains in the "Manufacturer Development" stage which means that it's still in testing at Samsung. The Galaxy Note 4 Marshmallow update still needs to go through internal testing at T-Mobile before it can be released to the public. In other words, it probably won't arrive tomorrow. We'd be lucky to see it in December.

If T-Mobile is planning a Galaxy Note 4 Marshmallow update, you can bet that the other top U.S. carriers are too. None of them have confirmed anything yet though.
