Netflix in 2016: Movies & TV Shows Coming in January

A brand new year means new and updated movies on Netflix. The company will be adding over 70 new movies or TV shows, while also removing a lot of popular titles. Each month content comes and goes, and below we’ve found a list of everything that’s new, and what’s leaving Netflix for January of 2016.

In December Netflix removed a little over 55 titles from the popular streaming service, but to make up for it added nearly 70 other shows or movies at the same time. It’s something they do every month, but with 2016 coming soon the changes are bigger than usual.

At the moment no one cares about anything other than Star Wars, but a slew of Rocky titles, popular movies with Christian Bale and more will all be removed at the end of the month, and replaced with roughly 76 new TV shows or movies in January of 2016. Read on for the full list of what’s new, and what will be removed.

On January 1st Netflix will be removing three Rambo movies and five Rocky movies, but later in the month will be adding the ridiculous but somehow popular Sharknado 3 to its lineup.

Binge watching is at an all-tie high during the holiday season, and that dries up during the new year with everyone trying to watch TV less, be more active, and other things for New Years resolutions. As a result, Netflix has a lot of great new TV shows, movies, series, documentaries and more to keep us on the couch.

There will be 76 or so new titles on Netflix in January of 2016, and the company will remove nearly 80 at the same time. A lot of really great movies will be getting the boot, so watch them this week before they’re gone.
