New iOS 9 Jailbreak

New iOS 9 Jailbreak

Anything is possible but we'd be surprised if developers failed to release another iOS 9 jailbreak for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

As of right now, you need to be on iOS 9, iOS 9.0.1 or iOS 9.0.2 to jailbreak iOS 9. In other words, if you moved up to iOS 9.1 or iOS 9.2, there's no way to jailbreak your phone or tablet because there's no way to get back to the older updates. You're stuck.

So, as you can imagine, there's been a ton of interest in a new iOS 9 jailbreak and we've seen signs of life over the past few weeks.

Jailbreak developers were able to jailbreak the iOS 9.1 update and the iOS 9.2 beta though they've yet to release a working one for the general public to use. More recently, developers suggested that an iOS 9.2 jailbreak release was imminent before deleting the comments in a bizarre twist.

We're still not sure how this will all play out but given their success with the older updates, the tease and the fact that we're still several months away from the next major iOS system upgrade, we'd be shocked if we didn't see another release
