We’re almost two months removed from the Star Wars Battlefront release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. With that milestone in mind, we want to take a look at a few important things gamers should know as we push into the new year.

2015 was a big year for the Star Wars franchise. J.J. Abrams and Co. rebooted the move franchise with Star Wars: The Force Awakens and EA and DICE rebooted the video game franchise with Star Wars Battlefront for console and PC.

Star Wars Battlefront puts gamers into the shoes of well-known heroes and villains and it puts them on iconic planets like Hoth, Endor and Tatooine. Star Wars Battlefront isn’t perfect but it remains a best-seller as we push into the new year.

New Star Wars Battlefront Update Incoming

It's worth noting that Star Wars Battlefront problems continue to be a huge problem for many gamers on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Battlefront gamers continue to point out bugs and problems including two major issues with the game that we want to call out today in an attempt to bring added attention to them.

PC users continue to complain about hackers using aim bots. This is evidently a growing problem and one that gamers are hoping EA and DICE address in the new year. For now, users should continue to report cheaters as they see them.

The other issue is a "white pixel" problem on the PlayStation 4 that's been ongoing since the game's release in November. EA and DICE haven't delivered a fix and some gamers have stopped playing because of it.

EA and DICE are currently tracking the white pixel problem and several others as we head into the new year and their next update could bring some vital bug fixes to Battlefront users.

The companies have confirmed a January Star Wars Battlefront update and it looks like it will bring more than just bug fixes.

EA is going to be rewarding Star Wars Battlefront players for completing the first community challenge. The company hasn't announced what the reward will be exactly but it will have something to do with Han Solo and Luke Skywalker and it will arrive with the January update.

A release date for the update is unknown but gamers will want to keep an eye on official comms as we push through the month.

For now, you're stuck with manual fixes. Our list of fixes is a great place to start if you run into a problem with Battlefront on PC, Xbox One or PS4.
