Battlefront owners and prospective buyers continue to ask questions about plans for the Star Wars Battlefront DLC. 

Complaints about the game revolve around its lack of depth and repetitiveness. The Battlefront DLC should help with those early issues because it will bring new maps, modes, Star Cards, and characters to the popular game. Problem is, we still don't know when the first Star Wars DLC will drop. 

The official line is that it will arrive in "early 2016" and EA is telling consumers that it plans to announce its plans "soon."

This falls in line with what we heard from a DICE developer a few days ago. He claimed that an announcement would come very soon. A specific date is unknown but all signs point to details arriving in the near future. 

EA is planning to release four expansion packs for the game and it's important to remember that those expansion packs will most likely be focused on the original trilogy of films. 

The company confirmed those plans a few weeks ago and it's sticking to it as we head into 2016. So if you were hoping for Kylo Ren or Finn in this version of Star Wars, you're probably going to be let down. If you were hoping for Chewbacca and other popular characters, you'll probably be in luck.
