Google Nexus 7 (2013)

Of course Google's Nexus 7 has to be near the top of the list. It offers nearly everything the more expensive competition does, but at a lower price point. It might be starting to show its age, but it already runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and performs great to this day.

While Google's Nexus 9 tablet makes our list too, it cost significantly more than previous Nexus tablets, which means the Nexus 7 (2013) is still one of the best tablets available today. You'll only get a 7-inch screen, but it offers a full HD 1080p resolution and plenty of power to do just about anything.

As it is now Nov 2015, most of these “best” tablets are no longer available. Samsung (who had a great line up last year) has a new line of tablets out (the S2 line-up). The few remaining tablets from last years line are the ones with very little built in memory (the 16BG models). All of the NEW Samsung models lack an IR blaster. This is also true of the new models from other companies. It is now nearly impossible to find a tablet that has an IR blaster, even though the public want them.

It’s important to remember that every person is different, and likewise their choice in tablets is going to be different as well. Thanks for sharing this list!
