iPhone 5 iOS 9.3 Update: 5 Important Details

One Big Disappointment

One Big Disappointment

I mentioned a big disappointment. Here it is.

iOS 9.3 is coming with a neat feature called Night Shift. The update is similar to F.lux for Mac in that it adjusts your display at night to help you sleep better.

With a Night Shift enabled, the iPhone will use warmer colors at night and more natural colors during the day. Warmer colors are supposed to help you sleep a little better.

It's arguably the most exciting feature on the iOS 9.3 update and it looks like it won't be coming to the iPhone 5. At all.

Unless something changes, it looks like iPhones using 32-bit processors are going to be left behind. We'll get iOS 9.3 but we just won't get Night Shift or some of the other features on board the iOS 9.3 update (Education features, 3D Touch).

If you want Night Shift, you'll probably need to jailbreak your phone and download F.lux.

I wonder if iOS 9.3 sucks just as bad as the rest of the 9’s ever since I put them on my iPhone 5s 64 Gb I had lot problems mixing photos from 2013 to 2014 or 2015 bringing photos back when I have deleted them not one but 4 16 even up to 25 copies it been doing it for two months they first came back after two weeks then one week three days twenty four hours now in eight hours they come back after I deleted them now I can’t even post photos I notice each photo on bottom of the right hand corner it has clock on it when the clock is at 3 8 or 9 I can’t post the photo when I try post photo it freezes or crashes a lot I have asked lot people that have iPhone 5’s they say there phones have no problems but they have 16 GB iPhones even the people with 6’s have 16 GB no problem with iOS 9’s so way I figure it is 32 or 64 iPhones that are having all the problems on 9’s I even waited three weeks before I put iOS 9.2 it sucks really bad just like rest of the 9’s I put on I never had this much problems with iOS 7’s or 8’s when I had my iPhone 4 32 GB never had problems with iOS 5’s 6’s or 7’s the 9’s are the worst iOS I have had

    Very slow performance
    Lags , bugs..
    It’s normal for Apple now
You should buy 6s now and in few months you must buy new one, nice shiny brick “iPhone 7” with iOS 10

I notice all Apple does is put new IOS’s on their iPhones iPads and iPods every two or three weeks they don’t want fix the problems what people have with their old IOS’s they just add more problems to their phones I still got the same problems when I put the first iOS 9’s on every time I put new 9 on it just creates new problem never fixes the old problem which I still have and 99% of these articles never tell you how to fix the problems you got on your gadgets they always tell you to connect to iTunes and refurbished it which to make the gadget like it was when you bought it lot times that don’t work it just creates lot more problems

Verify you have a backup of your phone via iCloud.com. The follow the steps in the link to put your phone into recovery mode and restore the OS. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201263

I tried to update to 9.3 but I am getting the message that the update is downloaded but can’t be verified because it says I am not connected to the Internet which is not true. This is on an iPhone 5.

Same old Apple bullshit that doesn’t work. I wonder who’s actually testing this shit before it gets released to the general public. Developers should be shot point blank between the eyes.

Same not connected to the Internet message when installing 9.3 OS update. PLEASE help. I would love to delete the download from my
iPhone & try again but can’t find how to do that. Tried all steps except restore and do not think that would be worth the it for the update. Anyone have any solutions yet?

I updated my iphone5s last Thursday and it turn out having a charger sign and an iTune sign. I tried everything but still not working. I have googled it and it said to connect it a computer. Since my computer is broken I took my phone to the technician but he couldn’t even fix it himself. He said my phone doesn’t recognise their computer. I need help please!!!!

thats why i leaved my iphone5 on 8.1 until now. and it works perfectly. now i think the last update for the iphone5 is ios9.2.1 because when i check the new updates is still on 9.2.1 even there is already 9.3……. my battery is still good. i think when my phone die it will die with its ios8.1 so as my ipad mini2 on 8.3……… :)

    iPhone 5,32 GB,updated 2 days ago

Not familiar with any of the problems mentioned here, performance on this phone has always been great but with 9.3,I think it works even better than 9.2.1!
Control Centre graphic lag and Spotlight search as well, has surprisingly disappeared!!!It was annoying, even though it didn’t happened every time, but it’s gone!!
Annimation is smooth like 100%and all aspects of the phone work great so far!
Of course for IOS 9 that is…Because in my opinion Nothing EVER worked like IOS 6
New features isn’t something you should expect on the 5,as they refer mostly to 6 series!
Notes can be password protected,Photos can dublicate, some changes in News as well, which I can’t justify, because I just got the app,by changing my locale!
As for other goods,I see slightly better battery life!
Only bug I noticed so far is that the auto-brightness is gone from the display settings!
That’s where they added the new night swift and I guess they removed it completely(or forgot it) ?
Really unpleasant what witnessed here by many people though…I believe Apple,in many cases, have shown that they want to move on with stuff, but the fact that they stop supporting older hardware,or even undermine them sometimes as well,to force move people to pay for their products,is really annoying…
Truly hope they will come back soon with solutions for all,and that you will get the same experience,as I did!
