7 Awesome iPhone Customization Apps

Published

on

If you don’t have a jailbroken iPhone, that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on some of the customization features that jailbreaking offers. Here are seven awesome iPhone customization apps that you can download from the App Store.

One of the biggest benefits of jailbreaking is the ability to customize nearly anything in iOS, right down to hiding certain elements of the user interface. However, not every iPhone user is comfortable with jailbreaking their device, and considering that there isn’t a jailbreak for the latest version of iOS currently, there are likely many users who aren’t jailbroken that would like to be.

With that said, many of the customizations that you can get on your iPhone through jailbreaking aren’t available on non-jailbroken devices, as Apple would never allow that much customization to be implemented in iOS.

Not all hope is lost, though, as there are still plenty of customizations you can make to your iPhone even if it isn’t jailbroken, and while it’s rather limited compared to what jailbreaking can offer, it’s better than nothing at all.

Here are seven awesome iPhone customization apps that you should check out if you want to take your iPhone to the next level without jailbreaking.

Fantastical

Fantastical

A great calendar app to have on the iPhone is Fantastical, and while the app itself is really nice and great to use, it's the widget that provides a great custom calendar that you can access in the Notification Center.

While the stock Calendar app has a widget, it only shows you a list of your upcoming events and appointments. However, Fantastical shows you a full month calendar right in the Notification Center so you can get a quick peek at the calendar if you need to.

I find this super helpful if I need to know what day of the week a certain date falls on. I can simply swipe down and get a quick look.

Fantastical 2 is $4.99, but well worth it if you constantly rely on your calendar.

Would love to try SwiftKey or any of the other options but it’s too annoying flipping back-and-forth for Siri. How else can we text to type easily if they are still prohibited from using Siri? I haven’t looked in some time
