Clash of Clans is one of the most popular mobile games on the planet, and has been for over three years. However, recently the developers released a similar game with many of the same aspects called Clash Royale. It’s a completely different real-time strategy game and loaded with unique features. Below are five awesome Clash Royale features we want in Clash of Clans.

When Clash Royale was announced in January with a similar overall look and feel as Clash of Clans, but with a completely different gaming style, many were excited. It’s one of the best and most addicting games as of late, and Clash of Clans could learn a thing or two from it.

Supercell is one of the best developers when it comes to continuously updating their games with more features and additional content, and we know more is coming. Another big Clash of Clans update is rumored for March or April with new troops, Clan War changes and more, but we’re hoping a few Clash Royale features will appear in Clash of Clans.

Clash of Clans hasn’t had the best of luck when it comes to updates lately. A huge December update changed the entire game, January updates had to fix those problems, and complaints still arrive daily. Above we detailed a few changes and features we want next, and we’re not alone when we say many of the features from Clash Royale would be a welcomed addition in Clash of Clans.

One being a tower defense and village building game, and the other being a real-time strategy and card-collecting title means they can’t be too similar. Each has a slightly different target audience, even if many users play both like myself.

At the end of the day though, Clash of Clans is starting to slow down, users can only upgrade so much, and most upgrades take a long 14 days to complete. Not to mention weeks of saving Gold or Elixir to even start. And while we don’t expect drastic measures to change the entire game, or want them, the Clash of Clans developers could learn from Clash Royale to improve Clash of Clans.

Of course many of these changes would need to be tweaked to match Clash of Clans, but all of ideas detailed below would greatly improve the hit game. With that said, here are five or so awesome Clash Royale features or options we want in Clash of Clans.

Daily Gems or "Chests"

In a recent update to Clash of Clans Supercell finally added a "daily goal" called the Star Bonus. After so many attacks and earning 5 stars, users get a bonus. Some Gold and Elixir for upgrades, and a little Dark Elixir too. This is in-game currency to buy things and start upgrades.

It's small and not a lot, but every bit counts. However, it's GEMS that are the most important. Gems can boost buildings, heal troops faster, and are what users get when they spend real money in-game. Users can get gem boxes or find a few gems here and there while removing trees, flower, or debris from their village, but that's not enough.

Every single update to Clash of Clans users blow up Facebook and Twitter asking for a Gem Mine to get gems daily, similar to farming Gold or Elixir. It's what makes the company money, and has never arrived.

Rather than users continuously complaining about everything costing too much, upgrades being slow and other things, give us daily Chests or Gems like Clash Royale. With Clash Royale users get a free "Chest" every 4 hours, and it's loaded with upgrades, gold, new troop (cards) and even Gems. Sometimes you get a lot, others, a little.

However, it's getting something each and every day for playing the game, something missing from Clash of Clans. In CoC, users must spend millions in troops to earn 5-stars and get the daily bonus, but with Clash Royale we get one for free every four hours, whether we play or not.

A daily chest every 4-6 hours, Gem mines, or other things similar to the Chests in Clash Royale would be a welcomed addition to Clash of Clans.
