Far Harbor Fallout 4 DLC Release: 5 Things to Expect & 4 Not To

Expect a Huge File

Expect a Huge File

We probably won't know the exact size of Far Harbor until the day before its release but you should head into the release date expecting a big file.

We're expecting this for two reasons. One, Far Harbor is expected to include a large landmass filled with new quests, new items, new characters, new enemies, and more. Again, the landmass is expected to be larger than The Shivering Isles.

It should be much larger than Automatron which checked in as follows for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC:

- PC: 1.1GB – 1.6GB
- Xbox One: 1.1GB – 1.5GB.
- PlayStation 4: 1.2GB - 1.7GB.

The other clue is from SteamDB where a key file is listed at 2.68GB for PC. This might not be exact but it could very well be close to the actual size of the file.

Expect the Far Harbor download to require a ton of space on your hard drive and for the download to take longer than most DLCs.

You didn't really have to prepare to much for Automatron or Wasteland Workshop. You'll want to prepare for this one.

I’ve got to stop clicking on these articles from gottabemobile. Worthless information that’s just obvious.

The information with the preorder/preload regarding automatron is incorrect because I downloaded that dlc a few hours before midnight release.

Completely useless info, spread out over 9 pages so you can show us the ads all over 9 times.

You can get the dlc earlier if you change your location settings on your console. I switched my location to New Zealand, and was able to get both DLCs 12 hours before their official release dates

I’d like to point out you guys made it a point to say you’d put money down for it to be released on one of the 5 Tuesday’s in May….but it will be released the 19th….that’s a Thursday, not Tuesday…where’s our money?!?
