May Star Wars Battlefront Update: 4 Things to Expect & 3 Not To

With Outer Rim problems still swirling, EA DICE is prepping a brand new Star Wars Battlefront update for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. With the release just a few hours away we want to take a look at what we expect from this May Star Wars Battlefront update.

In early April, EA DICE completed its first Star Wars Battlefront DLC release. The Outer Rim is now available for everyone across all three platforms and it brings new characters, items and more to console and PC.

It also, as we’ve learned in the weeks since launch, brought a number of problems along with it. Problems, that EA DICE intends to fix.

Expect A Release Tomorrow, Not May the 4th

EA DICE today confirmed the specific release date for its upcoming May Star Wars Battlefront update and you can expect it to land in the morning on May 3rd ahead of Star Wars Day on May the 4th.

EA won't stagger its release so you can expect all three platforms, and all regions, to get the update on May 3rd.

The update comes a day before EA DICE launches some May the 4th festivities to celebrate Star Wars Day. While it won't come with a double XP day or millions of credits, the developer is offering thousands of credits and the Bacta Bomb card to those that participate.

The Bacta Bomb card unlocks on the 4th, not the third, so keep that in mind for when the roll out begins tomorrow.
