Now available, the Bose QuietComfort 35 Bluetooth headphones are $349 at Bose and retailers like Amazon.

There are microphones inside and outside the Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones that monitor sounds and noises you don’t want to hear, routes them though special chips and then the headphones cancel this noise out.

Even with the active noise cancelling, the Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones promise 20 hours of battery life and you can recharge the included lithium ion batteries using a USB cable in about 2.25 hours. When using wired, the battery delivers noise cancelling for 40 hours. When the battery is dead, you can still listen with the wire, but there is no noise cancelling or Active EQ.

“Like the QuietComfort headphones before them, the performance of the QC30 and QC35 are way ahead of where the market is right now,” said Bernice Cramers, General Manager of Bose Wireless headphones.

Users can connect the QC35 headphones to two devices, like an iPhone and an iPad and the headphones can switch when a call comes in to your iPhone if you are watching a movie on your iPad.

Bose promises that the new QC35 headphones are light enough for all day comfort, yet still strong enough to meet the demands of busy users. The headband is wrapped in Alcantara, a soft material often found in yachts and high-end cars. Instead of plastic, Bose uses glass filled nylon to deliver a more durable pair of headphones.

When you cannot use Bluetooth, you can connect a headphone cable to the QC35 headphones and to your device to listen with the same noise cancelling features.

There is no option to customize the Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones yet, but that is coming this fall. Users will be able to send in the current models for customization then.
