Pokémon GO Level Guide: What Your Trainer Gets
There was a period when playing a game meant committing a bit of time every few weeks to getting a bit further. Everything had a beginning and an end. Nintendo and Niantic Labs’ Pokémon GO for iPhone and devices running Google’s Android operating system isn’t a game that you pick up on a weekend and finish entirely. There’s the Pokémon GO Level system to consider.
Pokémon GO Level Guide: Levels Explained
Trainers in Pokémon GO, like the creatures they collect, don’t start out being as powerful and capable as they are later in the game; there’s a progression system. To be clear, a progression system isn’t anything new for the franchise. All of the games for Nintendo’s handheld consoles have offered progression systems. The difference here is that those systems were less obvious than the Pokémon GO Level system is. In this game, everything from fighting at Gyms, to collecting Incense at PokeStops and capturing new creatures counts toward Trainer progression.

The higher you rank up, the more you’ll discover higher-ranked, and rare Pokémon. Of course, that’s also dependent on how frequently you roam your neighborhood in search of Pokémon to collect.

One thing that is tangible are the rewards you receive at every Pokémon GO Level. For users that are planning to play the game without ever spending any money, these rewards are crucial because they provide a quick infusion of necessary Poke Balls, heals and resources.
Usual rewards consist of Lure Modules, Incense and Poke Balls. Higher levels reward enhanced Poke Balls and Revives to wake your creatures up after a hard-fought Gym battle.

PokeStops & Gym Locations
A recent question and answer session on the Silph Road confirms that Pokémon Go currently uses 30% to 50% of portals that were present in Niantic’s last game, Ingress. Pokémon Go maps these over real-world landmarks that players have to walk to. PokeStops and Gyms are real-world locations that players go to pick up items and battle the creatures left behind by other trainers. Police departments are already warning players of the game to stay away from their stations, according to VG247.
