Samsung Galaxy S6 Active

Samsung Galaxy S6 Active

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is a more rugged version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 that can handle gong underwater for 30 minutes at five feet, which is more than enough to cover accidental exposure and to allow you to take it into the pool or to the beach.

Samsung also includes a rugged design that can withstand drops thanks to a military-grade IP68 rating for dust, shock, heat, humidity and vibrations. In short, this is a waterproof smartphone that can handle much more than just a splash.

While many waterproof smartphones feature cut down features, the Galaxy S6 Active includes a 5.1-inch Quad HD display, fast processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. There is a 16MP rear camera and 5MP front facing camera plus it runs Android Lollipop.

Physical buttons help with use when fingers are wet and a massive battery keeps this phone going and going. Read more about why we like the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active.

There is a new Samsung Galaxy S7 Active that boasts water-resistant claims, but a recent test from Consumer Reports found that it did not live up to the promises.

The Galaxy S6 Active is available in three colors from AT&T for $19.84 a month or $594 off contract.

If the iphone is not waterproof, it should not be in the list of best waterproof phones. If I was simply looking to place any good phone in a waterproof case, I would search for waterproof cases.

Absolutely, yer notes written out using a bottle of ink an’ a feather are not going to be damaged when encapsulated in a sealed waterproof box either. Not really what we mean by waterproof though is it !!!

    This article is incorrect.
    The iPhone is NOT waterproof,
    The S7 is rated 1 meter for 30 minutes–not 5 feet,
The MOTO G is completely missing–one of the best waterproofs under $200.

I have the Samsung Galaxy s5. I have taken it swimming and have taken pictures and recorded videos of the kids swimming under water. I dropped it in our pool once in the deep end, which was about 6 feet. Still going strong after 2 years of having it! Makes it even better with the water proof lifeproof fre case

My wife had a Galaxy S5 and it somehow ended up in the toilet for just 15 mins. It never worked again and had to be replaced. So the claim of the Galaxy S5 being able to stand in water for 30 mins is a blatant lie

Had the Sony Xperia Z3, I do excavation. Had the phone fall into a water line ditch filled with water. Stayed there for over an hr since the line broke and trench kept caving in. Was able to recover it about an 1 and half later and after washing off the mud it still worked. Same issue with mY galaxy s5 and no issues except 5 was only under for about 15 minutes. Took s5 to Hawaii and used it under water the whole time snorkeling and didn’t have any issues just great pics.

Great post. Galaxy S7 is indeed a great smartphone. Moreover, Sony is also manufacturing pretty good devices that are water resistant with IP68 certification but Sony smartphones are overpriced.
By the Way, Galaxy S7 is not an affordable smartphone.
