The iPhone 6 iOS 10.0.2 update is a small one checking in at less than 100MB for those coming directly from the device's iOS 10.0.1 update. It took us about 5 minutes to download and install.

Again, those of you coming from something older than iOS 10 will want to give yourself a little more time because you'll get everything you missed in previous updates baked into iOS 10.0.2.

We've been using the iPhone 6 iOS 10.0.2 update for a few hours now and we've been focused on a few key areas: Battery life, connectivity, UI speed, and app performance/problems. Here's what we've found after some time with the new version of iOS 10.

We haven't noticed any major problems with the iPhone 6's battery life after installing the iOS 10.0.2 update. We haven't noticed any abnormal drain. At least not yet.

If you're seeing issues and you just installed iOS 10, give it a couple of days to settle. This is pretty standard for iOS and the iPhone.

We've tested the phone and update with several ISPs, routers, and Bluetooth devices and we've come away impressed. We haven't noticed any major problems or dropped connections. AT&T's LTE network is also performing at a high level.

The iPhone 6 iOS 10 update is extremely fast with iOS 10.0.2 on board and it still feels much faster than iOS 9. Animations and transitions are incredibly fluid and we haven't experienced any lag in problem areas like Control Center and the Notification tray.

iOS 10.0.2 is treating our iPhone 6 well but if you're feeling leery, you'll want to seek out a second or third opinion before you make your move.

iOS 10 isn't going anywhere anytime soon so take you time, especially if you're having a fantastic experience on whatever version of iOS you're currently on.
