Pixel XL vs Nexus 6P: Display

Pixel XL vs Nexus 6P: Display

The biggest thing for many potential buyers is the size of the device, the size of the screen, and the final price tag. Specs these days are always great, and these will be excellent phones.

As a result, one thing we wanted to point out was the size of these phones. The Pixel sports a 5-inch display and is physically smaller than the Nexus 5X last year. Then the new Pixel XL has a big 5.5-inch display and is barely bigger than the 5X. It's substancially smaller than the 6P. So if it was too big, the Pixel XL might be perfect.

Here's a picture of all four side-by-side for scale, provided by AndroidCentral. The big XL looks to be the perfect size.

This year the Pixel XL will have a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD AMOLED display, which is top of the industry and will probably slightly be edged out by Samsung's own AMOLED displays.

Compare that to the 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD AMOLED from Samsung in the Nexus 6P, these two phones are similar. Technically the new Pixel XL should look better, having a smaller and more crisp display with more pixels per inch. Either way, buyers can't go wrong with one or the other. They are both excellent phones.

Yeah and a new Snapdragon 821 processor no other phone has yet.. Not to mention a better camera, more storage, Google Assistant, Android 7.1 Nougat and more. But yeah, it’s not a huge upgrade

Absolutely no good comparison to the Nexus 6P… is the upgrade worth it? I’m doubting it is but you did nothing to reinforce my thoughts or change my mind. Clickbait!
