How to Move Apps to the Micro-SD Card

The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have a micro-SD slot to expand storage, as the phone only has 32GB of space built it. That seems like a lot, but after a few months of installing apps or games, snapping photos and video and doing other things it will begin to fill up. I constant see friends and family with no space left, so bad that they can't install apps or take anymore photos.

To fix this problem we can move all apps to the micro-SD card, to free up space. Our next slide will even explain how to set the camera to save all photos to the SD card, not internal storage, which will save owners even more space.

It's worth noting that not every app can be moved to the micro-SD card. Many pre-installed apps can't be moved, and ones that need to access certain aspects of the phone. However, most can be moved, and here's how in fine detail.
  1. Settings
  2. Device Column > select Applications
  3. Application Manager
  4. Select “Downloaded App” and find the app you'd like to move
  5. Click “Storage”
  6. Choose “Change” storage and select “SD card”
  7. Confirm you’d like to move app to SD, tap “Move” and let it export
  8. Repeat 4-7 for any downloaded app on the Galaxy S7

That’s it. We’ve now successfully moved multiple apps from the Galaxy S7 to the micro-SD card to free up storage. It’s worth noting that any of those apps will no longer function if the micro-SD card is removed, so keep that in mind.

Can I also add my spouse to the fingerprint scan? So we’re both able to use the device?

Google Now gets it wrong so often that it is useless. When did you ever hear anyone use it? Never.

I normally do not leave comments, but thank you for this helpful list! It informed me on things I didn’t know my phone could do, such as the SOS feature.
