Spot and Suppress Enemies

Spot and Suppress Enemies

There are two Battlefield 1 gameplay mechanics that you might've missed: Suppressing fire and spotting. Both of these can earn you valuable points.

If you find yourself at long range, and you spot an enemy in the distance shooting at your squadmates, try laying down some suppressing fire.

Unloading a clip from your machine gun or rifle could help save their life (suppressed enemies suffer from increased spread, altered vision and more) and you'll get some quick and easy points in the process.

You might not know it but you can also spot enemies in Battlefield 1. Spotting will help you and your squadmates track your enemies and earn some points in the process.

If you spot an enemy press R1 on PlayStation 4, RB on the Xbox One, or Q on the PC. If you do this correctly, a marker will appear above their head and you'll see a mark on the game's mini-map.

If an enemy you've spotted is killed by a teammate, you'll get some nice experience.

Note that the Scout class comes equipped with a flare gun that spots enemies where the flare lands. You'll also get bonuses from that.

You should add to your list-
    “Don’t camp.”
Controlling objectives, helping teammates and killing opponents (and dying because medics get points for healing you and therefore your squad gets points for heals) is more valuable than waiting for 3-6 guys too roll in unexpectedly.
