Aukey Quick Charge 3.0 and Type-C Car Charger

This is a little different from the others. It has a regular USB output for most cables owners have today, as well as a small USB Type-C to Type-C like the extra cable that came with the Pixel.

This charger will work with both cables provided by Google in the box. The one with a regular big USB port on the end, and the smaller all USB Type-C. The image above should explain everything. In the end all you need to know is this charger is future proof with the fastest charging technology available today, and two ports to use any cable you'd like to recharge a slew of different devices while on the go.

Its not possible to have a charger which fits both USB-C and Quick Charge standards as both have conflicting standards – also the AUKEY USB-C wire sold on amazon does not meet correct USB-C standards – beware this product may not be good for your phone

What about Elephone car chargers? At Geekbuying they’re really cheap.

You state that the Tronsmart car charger will charge the Pixel at the fastest possible speed, but that is not correct. Per the Google Doc shared by Benson and Nathan, it does not charge the Pixel at the full 18W speed, as it only supports 5V/3A, and to charge the Pixel at full speed it would need to be able to charge at 9V/2A. That is one of the reasons they rated this charger a +1 on a scale of -3 to +3.

Here is the Google doc spreadsheet for reference: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vnpEXfo2HCGADdd9G2x9dMDWqENiY2kgBJUu29f_TX8/pubhtml#

So as of 2016-12-24, there are no fully approved 12volt car chargers. That’s disturbing.
