You can buy the new MacBook Pro now.

You can buy the 2016 MacBook Pro now, but you’ll be waiting a little while for the delivery and you can only buy online unless you want the 13-inch MacBook Pro without the Touch Bar.

Apple started taking 2016 MacBook Pro pre-orders right after the announcement, but the Touch Bar models have yet to ship.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro without the Touch Bar or Touch ID is available to ship today and is in most stores.

Available at Many Retailers

Originally only available at the Apple Store, you can buy the 2016 MacBook Pro at a variety of retailers including Apple, Best Buy, B&H Photo and Amazon.

You can order online, in the Apple Store app and if you do go into an Apple Store they can help you place an online order.

2016 MacBook Pro Shipping Now

The MacBook Pro is shipping with some deliveries coming today to users who ordered on day one. Not all day one orders are shipping yet, but for many users the new MacBook Pro is with UPS and on the way.

Apple is starting to charge credit cards some of the other 2016 MacBook Pro orders, which is typically something that happens a few days before Apple ships them.

This is a good sign and we expect to see more users charged yet this week ahead of deliveries.

No Specific MacBook Pro Release Date

There is no specific 2016 MacBook Pro release date in stores, but you can go into the store this week to try out the new models in person and experience the Touch Bar in person.

You cannot buy a 2016 MacBook Pro up in store at this point, but you can check it out and if you want one place an order for delivery at a later date.

No In Store Pickup Yet

Apple Store IPad Pro Release Date

There is no 2016 MacBook Pro in store pickup option at this time. Don’t expect this to happen until Apple meets the demand for online orders and gets the new models into stores in late November or December.

You can place on online order now for home delivery and if the 2016 MacBook Pro in store release date arrives faster cancel your online order and go in store to pickup.

2016 MacBook Pro Deals

There are now some 2016 MacBook Pro deals that help you avoid paying tax, let you save with a student discount and more.

There is also a chance that we will see some Black Friday 2016 deals on the new MacBook Pro, but with deliveries arriving around that time it’s tough to say if that will happen.

Students can save $50 to $200 on the new MacBook Pro with student discounts direct from Apple. Here’s a look at the best 2016 MacBook Pro deals in November.

New MacBook Pro: 7 Reasons to Buy, 4 Reasons Not To

Don't Wait for a March MacBook Pro Announcement

Don't Wait for a March MacBook Pro Announcement

We could see Apple hold a March event or a Spring Event in 2018 to announce the iPhone SE 2 and a new iPad Pro. Even if there is an event, we don't expect to see a new MacBook Pro announcement. If you need a new MacBook Pro and aren't prepared to wait until June or July, you can buy the current model instead of waiting until March.

Apple started selling the 2017 MacBook Pro in June, and while they have delivered very fast updates to the iPad line in the past, there is no reason for a new 2018 MacBook Pro announcement at a Spring event.

Maybe we will learn more about a modular Mac Pro -- but you don't need to wait for this event to buy a new MacBook Pro.
