Best Samsung Galaxy S7 Deals

Published

on

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are still two extremely popular smartphones, even with a new Galaxy S8 coming soon. As a result, lots of deals are available. With that in mind below is a continuously updated list of the best Galaxy S7 deals on the web. From buy one get one to free micro-SD cards and more.

Samsung’s phones were released on March 11th in the United States at all major carriers. Not to mention retailers like Target, Best Buy and others. If you’re looking to get the best Galaxy S7 deal or price around, or some free accessories, read on for more details.

Read: Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Review

Samsung continues to push the Galaxy S7 deals hard. We saw it half-priced at T-Mobile in February, and now as the Galaxy S8 release nears more are arriving by the day. As 2017 more deals like the ones mentioned below will continue to surface. If you want to get the Galaxy S7, read on for more details.

Galaxy-S7-main

The latest Galaxy has a stunning metal and glass design, and its even water-resistant. It has a more powerful processor with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a microSD slot for storage expansion. It’s one of the best phones on the market. Well, until the Galaxy S8 arrives.

Additionally the 12 Dual Pixel camera sensor is extremely impressive and battery life is better than any Samsung smartphone to date. Coming in with a 3,000 mAh battery in the Galaxy S7, and 3,600 mAh in the Edge. To top things off it runs Google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat software update. Or will soon.

We’ve been continuously updating this list with deals since the release, and removing ones that have expired. As a result, the free Gear VR headsets or buy one get one free deals are all gone. Don’t worry though, savings are still available for millions. Check out the Best Buy offer below.

S7-rbay

For example, the regular S7 is on eBay for the impressively low price of only $369. Before this it was $409. That’s the lowest price you’ll find. This model won’t work on Verizon, but most other carriers are supported. Alternatively the Galaxy S7 Edge (dual-sim) for only $469 is another option. It retails for $798.

Carriers around the globe are still asking over $600 for the Galaxy S7, and more for the Edge variant. So eBay could be the cheapest route for right now. However, Best Buy just announced a steal that some may want to seriously consider. A brand new Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge and over $300 worth of savings.

Best Buy Galaxy S7 Deals

By far the best Galaxy S7 deal we’ve seen since the release date was just announced by Best Buy. Starting March 3rd for a limited time, get hundreds of dollars back and some accessories completely free.

To be more specific, go buy the S7 or S7 Edge from Best Buy. The retailer is asking $100 less than retail and will also give you a $100 gift card. Additionally, Best Buy is handing out a 256GB micro-SD card and a Samsung Fast Wireless Charger completely free. Combine the $100 gift card and two accessories and that’s over $300 in savings.

Additionally, Best Buy has the Galaxy S7 for multiple carriers refurbished for only $479, and the S7 Edge for a little more. In the past these were under $400, but that was a limited time promo. Still, $479 is a decent price to pay. Although I’d buy a new one with the deal above with the free accessories first.

S7-dealbb

Another route is online retailer B&H. If you want a Galaxy S7 this site is selling it for just $529. It isn’t the lowest price around but that’s a brand new model, not refurbished.

On June 30th last year Samsung announced and released “Unlocked” models of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Meaning these phones work with any and all carriers, overseas, and don’t have carrier apps and bloatware wasting space. Get unlocked models now at Amazon, Best Buy, Samsung and more. They are priced at $669 and $769.

Buying the unlocked model at Best Buy is the best route, as they’re offering a $75 gift card for a limited time. Not to mention it’s $100 off too, and applies to the deal above.  Click here to get one today for only $569.

Galaxy S7 Pricing & Other Deals

Out of all four major carriers in the United States, Sprint is asking the least amount for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. All carriers have monthly payment plans, but Sprint is charging the lowest overall price. Here is a breakdown of carrier pricing, with Sprint beating everyone else once all said and done. AT&T is cheaper per month, but Sprint has the lowest price. These have since changed now that we’re in September, and most carriers have taken at least $100 off the price. The S7 is $594 from AT&T, for example.

  • AT&T: Galaxy S7 is $23.17 per month for 30 months = $695.10
  • Verizon: Galaxy S7 is $28 per month for 24 months = $672
  • T-Mobile: Galaxy S7 is $27.91 per month for 24 months = $669.84
  • Sprint: Galaxy S7 is $27.09 per month for 24 months = $650.16 *
  • US Cellular: Galaxy S7 is $28 per month for 24 months = $672

The Galaxy S7 Edge is roughly $100 more on all carriers

However, the deals don’t end there either. Sprint is offering a buy one get one 1/2 off promotion for the Galaxy S7. Allowing users to get one (and the free Gear VR) and a second Galaxy S7 will be 50% off, costing just $375. With another line, of course. Sprint will also offer a new “Galaxy Forever” plan similar to the iPhone forever deal. Allowing users to trade it in every 12 (or so) months for the newest model. While this is nice, buyers don’t get to keep the Galaxy S7, essentially paying for nothing. That said, the monthly payments drop to $25.99 for the S7 and $30.50 for the S7 Edge with Sprint.

Verizon Galaxy S7 Deal

As of right now all of the past deals have since expired on Verizon. And all carriers for that matter. However, stay tuned because more are coming and we’ll be sure to add them to our list.

Following the Galaxy S7 release Verizon announced the “Verizon Annual Upgrade” program. Allowing those on payment plans to upgrade to a new Samsung Galaxy every year, for free. Similar to T-Mobile Jump or Sprint’s iPhone and Galaxy Forever deals. Verizon offered something similar for the iPhone 6, but it has been expanded to the Samsung Galaxy. Meaning you’ll be able to easily upgrade to the Galaxy S8 or Note 8 later this year.

Buy a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge and you’re automatically enrolled. Then, as early as 30 days after you get a new phone (as long as 50% is paid off) Verizon customers can upgrade to a new phone rather than switching carriers or signing another contract. Just trade in an old phone and get the next Galaxy. Meaning buyers can trade in the Galaxy S7 for a new Galaxy S8 without buying it outright or paying a premium to upgrade early. The Galaxy S8 will be announced on March 29th, so this won’t apply to anyone buying today.

Additional Deals

All of the other deals that were available when these phones were first released have ended. For now the best options appear to be eBay or from Best Buy. After the Galaxy S8 release these prices will continue to drop even further, then the phone will eventually no longer be available in carrier stores.

Verizon just ended their buy one get one deal, and T-Mobile was offering over $300 off at the end of February. In the coming weeks expect at least one or two other carriers to make announcements. So either get the Best Buy deal today, or wait for the next discount.

Sprint’s bogo half off deal is only a lease. Therefore you don’t own both of your phones after 24 months. The option to buy the phones is an additional $200 per phone. Info from Sprint Customer Service.

Buy a new Samsung Galaxy smartphone on AT&T Next℠ and get a Samsung Gear S2 for FREE on a 2-year agreement. I used this and pre-ordered the Galaxy S7 to basically get the watch and Gear VR for free

AT&T has a Buy One Get One (BOGO) deal right now. My girlfriends dad works at an AT&T call center and told me about it Saturday 2/27. I already did a pre-order at Best Buy…went back Sunday 2/28 and cancelled my order and re-placed with a BOGO. Both phones have to be on AT&T Next. The BOGO covers around $23/month for the 2nd phone and you can get either model for the 2nd phone. Best Buy also told me I’d get the free Gear VR and Micro SD card for both phones…don’t think there’s a better deal out there.

Here’s what I’ve found in my area which only includes AT&T and Verizon.

Verizon will give you 200$ per line you switch to them (WITH PHONE TRADE IN) and then will knock off 100$ of the price of the S2 gear so with your credit the watch is technically free, however they still require you to have a 2 year contract for the watch at 5$ a month. I stopped at this point because it didn’t seem worth the switch at that point to me, however I do think it wouldn’t be hard to still get the VR headset from the samsung website, but I’m not even going to try it.

AT&T will give you a BOGO s7 with activation of a new line. One rep suggested I cancel a current line and get a new one, which wasn’t an option for me. They will give you a “Free” tablet and/or S2 gear watch with a samsung s6 purchase (with a 2 year contract at 10$ per device).

    Promotions:

As previously stated it the VR headset +games is available from any provider pre-order worth 150$

Best buy gives you the headset/games + a 64 GB card which is worth about 25$ so total worth 175$

Target gives you the headset/games + 100$ gift card total worth of 250$

Target to me seems like the best deal, if anyone has tips on how to get a better deal let me know. I’d really prefer the S2 Gear, but I’ll take what I can get.

    • Steve

      03/05/2016 at 9:28 am

I did the math too. I am not sure why everyone is touting Best Buy as the best deal. The price on that 64gb mem card is only $25. That is not much of a savings, unless you are too lazy to go out and buy one yourself. Target seems to be the winner here with the fact that they are offering $100 gift card.

I pre-ordered the AT&T Galaxy S7 Edge at Target. Unfortunately we are 6 days in and none of the Target’s in my area have received the S7 Edge. I live in the Raleigh/Durham area so it’s not like I’m in a small town. There are 16 Target stores within a 15 mile radius that we’re talking about.

      03/27/2016 at 5:58 pm

I ran into the same problem with Verizon saying if you ordered before 3/18 you would get the watch and now they say their out of stock…..that’s bs and false advertising.

Read the fine print, guys. They offered 30,000 (I think) and if those are already claimed, they state quite clearly they won’t give more. I was cleared for mine and it says it will ship on the 8th. Sorry you missed out but it’s not bs.

Nobody has mentioned the Staples deal (VZW) from last week, that was extended this week. Buy an S7 or S7 edge and get a $400 Visa Gift Card. I have read that folks have then gone to the VZW promotion site and used the BOGO deal getting on the S7 or S7 Edge. So, $800 plus $692-$779 in Gift Cards effectively makes bothe phones “free”. Yes you pay your local taxes, and if you already have a family plan on VZW, each line runs you $20 a month x 6 months. I came up with the cost of 2 S7 phones is $1,344 less $800 Staples Visa GC less $672 from VZW = $128 net gain. Add back 6 months of VZW service for 2 added lines ($20x2x6=240) plus $40 in activation fees, so the net overall cost of the 2 added lines is $152 and after 6 months you could easily cancel both. Or since they are both paid in full (using the GC’s) you would be ready to get Note 6 phone in the next 6 months.

Not every Staples sells wireless phones. But the ones that do, you can actually order the phone and get it within 2-3 business days.

Best Deal is definitely at Costco. I went with Verizon, got the BoGO, 2 VR headsets with games free, two 64 Gig SD Cards, two $250 Costco Cash Cards, free tablet (just pay monthly wireless charge of $10/month, but gave me 9 months free), and got all activation fees credited. Just had to pay taxes for everything, but well worth it.

So, I was just looking at Best Buy’s phone/plan deal for S7 Edge (Verizon). It’s only $299 with 2-year contract. That seems like a really good deal, since I don’t mind staying with Verizon another 2 years (and I’m already done with my previous contract). Am I missing something?

BTW, a rep at Verizon store told me I was eligible for a 10-or-20% corporate discount through my company. Does anyone know if Verizon would still honor this discount if I got the phone so cheap from Best Buy?

    • Larry Turner

      04/07/2016 at 6:39 am

I have a 23% corporate discount on my account. That is off the Data Portion of my bill. every little bit helps..

I often upgrade through Best Buy or whatever source has a deal at the time. Initially, the corporate discount would often have some sort of deal/bonus for ordering/ through a representative or buying at a Corporate Store. It has been years since I have received a better deal from a Corporate employee vs. a retailer.

I upgrade last year through Best Buy (2 lines). VZW periodically will ask you to verify your discount . I’s easy to add the discount online or via phone as well.

My local Walmart just looked at me like I was crazy when I mentioned the $150 off the Samsung S7 (VzW), so I called corporate. They were flummoxed too (at first). After being put on hold a few times, the customer service rep at corporate said that not all Walmarts are participating in the discount offer and that corporate couldn’t identify which ones were and which ones weren’t. I started calling around (Northern Virginia) and I still haven’t found a Walmart that is offering the discount. And shame on corporate for not being able to give me that information.

Sam’s Club has a $200 GC with new Edge/Next Activations. If you were on a contract plan and switch to a Next/Edge , that should qualify you. I did this last year for my 2 lines to received $200 bonus GC’s .

Love this thread. Good info but if I can make one suggestion it would be to always date any updates or even better have any updates located at the top of the blog so that for those of us that come back often will be able to determine latest deals. Thank you for all the hard work of scouring the InterWebs to help us save some of our hard earned $$$!

I also went to my local Walmart and the electronics dept guys also had never heard of the $150 promo on the Samsung phones. I then called Walmart.com’s customer service and the agent spent 10min searching through current promos and also did not find the relevant information. Then I called the nearest 3 Walmarts within a 50mile radius and they had also not heard of the promo. So I guess that’s a lost cause. However, the $100 off promo (2-yr contract only) at Best Buy is indeed valid. I just went there today and everything checked out. Except there’s an extra $40 activation fee, which is currently being waived if you buy Verizon. So in the end, you’re saving only about $60, which I guess is better than nothing…
