Published

on

There is a massive Snapchat update that brings a new look, puts the search bar everywhere in the app and delivers the best Snapchat experience yet. This is what’s new in the Snapchat 10 for iPhone and Android.

Snapchat confirmed the new update in early January and it is now rolling out on iPhone and Android now.

You can join the Snapchat beta and test other new features — if you are on Android.

The three biggest new Snapchat features are; a total redesign with even bigger Bitmoji integration, a search bar everywhere you need it and a new Global Story with snaps from across the globe.

Join us for a closer look at what’s new in the first major Snapchat update of 2017. This is available now on iPhone and Android. It will come to the regular Android users in the near future.

Snapchat Search

You’ll now see the Snapchat search bar on the camera screen, chat screen and on Stories. This makes it easy to find friends, groups, your recent friends, new contacts and even new friends.

With Snapchat search you can find people, groups and new people to follow.

To use this you just need to tap on search and it will show you Quick Chat options at the top. You can start typing to search for a friend, or you can swipe left or right at the bottom to switch between recent contacts, new friends to add and an option to find new contacts.

When you type a name you will see the person you are looking for, any groups they are part of and potential new friends.

This is an awesome tool for Snapchat users and one we are already using to find friends, quickly access groups and even go to our own profile by tapping on our Bitmoji.

Snapchat Bitmoji Takeover

You'll see Bitmoji everywhere in the new Snapchat update.

Now your Bitmoji is all over Snapchat. It’s in chat and your profile and in search results. If you don’t use Bitmoji it will show a ghost, so it’s a good idea to sign up and set up a Bitmoji character even if you don’t use the app outside of Snapchat.

Global Snapchat Story

Take part in global Snapchat Stories without leaving your home.

You can now take part in global Snapchat Stories without actually being where the Story is taking place. That means no more sitting on the sideline when you have something to say about a global event. With the new Snapchat update installed you can add your take on what’s happening.

This will allow you to essentially react to Snapchat Stories that are important to you without the need to be near the actual event.

How do you see how many snaps you have received and sent?

You go to your snapchat home screen (where you can add friends, view them and edit your ghost ‘image’) and tap on your score (which should be the number below your profile image and username) and it will change into two different sets of numbers – the first being how many you have sent, and the other being how many snaps you have recieved.

      I hoped this helped ??

The new snapchat update has no “shadow” effect on the color scale. What the heck?
