Nintendo Unveils Amiibo Reader for iPhone

Earlier this year Nintendo announced a partnership with video game maker DeNA that will bring its characters to mobile video games the world over. We can expect the first of these projects to arrive sometime earlier next year.  

With their characters already coming to the iPhone and iPad, it’d make sense if Nintendo decided to bolster demand for Amiibo even further by rolling out Amiibo figures and Amiibo card readers for iPhones and iPads. Like with the Wii U and new Nintendo 3DS, players would be able to add characters and power-ups to their games seamlessly. Demand for the figures would be huge if there were tangible benefits for mobile players, though Nintendo appears unable to handle the demand for the Amiibo that’s already out there.
