5 Things You’ll Hate About the Samsung Galaxy S6

Non-Removable Battery

Non-Removable Battery

This is something that we also hate about the iPhone. The iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6 don't come with removable batteries. What this means is that you're unable to install an extended battery for more juice and you're forced to take the phone in or send it away if you need a replacement.

In our time with the two devices, they've exhibited solid battery life though that's not the case for everyone. Many Galaxy S6 users hate the device's battery life. It was also a feature that critics complained about in their reviews.

We don't hate the battery life on our Galaxy S6 but we hate the fact that we have to buy an expensive bulky case to add extra charge.

Mileage is going to vary but this could certainly be a problem for those of you used to getting excellent battery life out of your current device.

Concrete wading pools come in many shapes, traditionally
    rectangle, square or circle.

These criticisms are over the top. “Hating” some of these features? Come on. And the replaceable battery is becoming obsolete. If people really wanted to rip their phones apart to swap the battery, they would have bought more S5s and/or LG G4s. They aren’t

I have always had an android phone. But resently tried iphone 6, but after using it for a few days I couldn’t help but feel constricted, like i was on eady mode.
Latest face it iphone are for the every day consumers, simple easy to us, but limited.
Android and all its features are for the more adventurous experienced multitasking.
Point being they are developed for very different consumers.
Both are built well and neither are perfect.
Maybe if apple develop and expert mode on their devises I would switch.

Do you know how hard it is to root a knox secured device with a locked boot loader?
Jailbreaking compared to today’s boot loader locking is very easy
Cydia have massive supports while on xda some devices have no support
some android devices with even 4GB’s of rams kills apps while older 1gb iPhones never loose anything in your sight. if you feel like you’re on easy mode, try jailbreaking.

There is a case made for the galaxy s6 and edge that has a battery to extend the factory and it’s equipped with an SD slot up to 128gb. It runs around 90 dollars.

Who produces this case? The Mophie Juice pack will give you a full battery charge.

Samsung’s inconsistent and slow updating of software and having to keep your fingers crossed the carrier will even bother to push out a new version of Android to you even if Samsung decides to bother with it IS one major gripe about owning this device, or any Android in general. No amount of spin or author hating can change that fact.

I think this point about OS updates is overblown. Who cares about an early update if the underlying operating system is inferior? In other words, people don’t argue that iOS is better than Android, but that it updates better. Whoopteedoo.

When i first tried apple it was an Iphone 4 and had been using nokia n95 before that, and i thought wow, apple has not left anything for me to sort out, no memory issue, nothing crashes, all works the way it should. I never Looked back and had been an Iphone user up to iphone 6.
Recently i swapped to an s6 edge (not by choice as my wife found it to be difficult because she too had been using iphone user). Here are the things I HATE about samsung and android and i think people who use samsung and the android platform need to get a life.

    1. you recieve an email with a video, the phone asks me open with “images” or “video” player. Not very smart is it. And then if i choose video player and select “always” the phone will ask me the same question if i install another video player type program. I am on a mobile Platform just open the video, stop giving me stupid options. Same is the case with PDF files and the phone does not recognise xps files by default.

    2. Spell check, the phone has spell check from the age when i used nokia, nothing gets highlighted, so when i have written an email i dont know what mistakes are “still” there.

    3. Copy and paste, The stock web browser app will not identify a telephone number on a website and you cant just dial it. Some times a quick tap will bring the dialer up other times it just does nothing.

    4. Email, The stock email app wont sync my yahoo folders i have tried every thing from manual settings etc etc,
the yahoo mail app, wont let you copy paste an info from massages in to the email you are typing and if you are writing an email and want to get some information from the phone and you press the home button the email draft is gone for good
so after trying out various email apps i am with cloud magic which seems to be just reasonable

    5. By the time i get up in the morning and go to work, the phone has already used 10 to 15 percent of the battery all i do is use check my emails, bank account, news so the first 10 mins use actually uses 10 mins of your days battery. Fast charging results in fast discharging as well

    6. The phone search function “s finder” is hugly inferior to iphone and the search results i get are more often then not useless, you would be quicker to find the releven app or the text message your self.

    7. Edge screen has little use infact i find that the screen is over sensitive even the slightest touch will get you a response from the phone and this is more often then not unwanted. The information i get on the edge screen by moving my finger back and forth is a few words of news more like “Apple introduced siri samsung will co”

    8. The price drops like rocks

Many people who use andriod and tell me its open source, i can debug, blah blah, have never actually used any of those android qualities.
I would not call Samsung a smartphone or android a smart operating system and after 3 months of use i still miss apple. All of the above were seamless in apple which meant I had more time concentrate on the road while driving.

No matter what phone you have, I do hope you concentrate on driving and leave your phone alone until you are parked! (except maybe, calls via blue tooth) :)

Really though, nobody has to “get a life.” Both are excellent phones and it comes down to individual preference. If you like iPhone better, then stick with them.. No need to be condescending towards those who might prefer a Samsung Galaxy, or any other phone for that matter. Likewise, if you prefer a Galaxy, no need to be condescending towards iPhone users!

As far as what apps to use (on Android) to say, open a video, you can set up defaults, but yes, it does need to be set per file type. Once you set defaults, you can keep it that way, or you can change it. Frankly, if I have more than one program that can open a particular file type, then yes, I would like the option to use either one. Some would consider this “too complicated” while others would say that it’s “more flexible” but that’s why some prefer iPhone and others prefer Android. Different strokes for different folks.. Neither need to “get a life.”

Where Apple is far superior to another brand is their computers. Yes, Windows has come a long way but Macs still don’t need antvirus. They also don’t slow down nearly as much with time like a Windows machine does. Even with those few viruses/malware that have come out for Macs, you still had to give them permission to run! So, when a friend asks me what kind of computer to get, I always still recommend a Mac. This goes back quite a few years when Macs had a “RISC architecture” yet Intel was trying to offer “flexibility” with its processors having huge instruction sets. The result: drivers needed to be written for any peripherals that wanted to talk to it along with a number of vulnerabilities. Today, a Macs underlying operating system is BSD Unix, which is far more secure than a Windows system. Personally I have a Linux system but that’s because I like to highly customize my system (yeah, I’ll admit that I’m a bit of a dork). However, although Linux has come a long way with how easy it can be to install, it is far from being a good choice for most home users, which is why I often recommend a Mac.

Really, iPhone users, Android users, and whatever, can’t we all just get along? Happy Holidays!

I love Samsung products and have never like Apple, but my only complaint is with the apps. Too many of them suck and are not as good as on the s4, that I owned previously. Phone is fast and easy for me to use, but some the apps really suck, and it’s not like you can just uninstall them…#love hate relationship.

The thing I hate the most is the position of the screen off button and the sound level buttons. I hit them all the time by accident. The rest is not an issue. The one thing I love is that it’s not an iPhone. After having one of those I’m never going to own one again or anything sold by Apple. It’s just over priced junk IMHO.
