7 Xbox One Features & Upgrades We Need

Faster Apps for a Unified Experience

Faster Apps for a Unified Experience

The Xbox 360 was all one integrated system, really. It never felt like you were using separate apps because you weren’t. With the Xbox One, Microsoft broke the mold that it had used for the software on the Xbox 360. Instead of being all integrated, many of the experiences built into the Xbox One are separated into different applications.

For example, when a user looks for any messages sent to their Xbox Live account, those messages show up in their own app instead of the Friends app that is the home of just about every other Xbox One social related feature. It doesn’t help that many of these apps include giant splash screens that make them feel separate from just about everything else, and that these are slow to load.

If Microsoft can’t make these apps open faster, it at least has to work on making them feel like one cohesive experience.

You know what needs to go? Journalists that think they’re journalists when they can’t list 7 things on one page. Eat shit.
