By navigating to Settings > Privacy > Advertising, you can enable a feature called Limit Ad Tracking. Turning this feature on allows users to limit advertisers from providing targeted ads to them.
Essentially, every iPhone has a unique advertising identifier (a random string of letters and numbers), which allows information sent to advertisers to remain anonymous from your true identity. However, limiting ad tracking will prevent advertisers from knowing your advertising identifier, thus resulting in less targeted ads. |
