Airport Desk Space

- Sierra Modro

Luggage Cart DeskNow obviously, being good and dedicated Tablet PC users, we rarely need a desk in order to be effective while traveling. That said, I spent the better part of 9 hours in airports over the last few days and honestly, a desk would have come in handy.

Hammacher Schlemmer has just the solution, and it is even advertised in the SkyMall catalog for all of those frequent travelers. This combination luggage cart and folding desk will work as a regular luggage cart, then pop open for a mobile surface to hold your laptop, external drives, cell phone, and any other stuff you just need to be using during that 3 hour layover at O'Hare.

The desktop is integrated into the carts molded ABS and lightweight anodized aluminum frame, and it unfolds at the touch of a button into a platform 26" from the floor, secured by the telescoping handle at two points and reinforced by a Y-brace underneath. The platform can hold up to 20 lbs., and can accommodate a 17" wide laptop, or a smaller laptop with an external mouse.

I just love SkyMall!

They have a lot of great mobility-related devices!
