All Settled In - Guess My Gear!

- Rob Bushway

Finally got settled in after waiting about an hour for my luggage. The Las Vegas has to have one of the slowest baggage claims ever.

Got settled in to the room and am waiting on Warner to show up. He’s probably waiting on his bags, too.

I’ve got everything all set up and ready to go – can you guess everything in this picture? Click the picture to see a high res shot.

First person to name everything correctly will get a Splotch and their very own GBM Shirt.

Hmm, I know (and have) most of those, but not all. I'm about to sell my OQO though, I have barely touched it since the Eee came out.

Happy with the Cradlepoint? I love mine.

Hmm, let's see: OQO Model 02 plus dock, USB air card, Cradlepoint, iPAQ Travel Companion PNA, Flip Video Ultra, HTC Tilt, Logitech VX Nano mouse, Stowaway Sierra Bluetooth Keyboard. And some spare batteries, right?

Don't know what the white thingy is though...

Rob or anyone who can answer....

I notice you have a Flip video cam in the pic. What's the difference between a Flip and the newer camcorders with hard drive media? I realize the Flip is fairly economical in comparison but is there something better about the Flip? Don't both devices allow you to download the internal HD contents to a pc HD?

DUDE !!!

You forgot the HD Helmet Camera the records everything you go to and feeds it live into youtube.

Kidding aside, has someone heard about any kind of streams coming from CES ??

So the Flip works well with the OQO? I might have to buy one, if that´s the case.

good guesses, so far

Cory P won by including Splotch!

Flip Video Ultra is very good with the OQO. Just install the default codecs that come with it, as the OQO uses the older movie maker. flip automatically encodes to avi, 640 x 480 and plugs directly into the usb port for moving them over.

Perhaps the moderator was too caught up in the Vegas lights to respond.

The Flip Video records at a lower resolution than your high-end camcorders making it easier to share via the internet. The included software makes the process seamless.

Hope that helps.
