Great show. I do take issue with Chris's explanation about OneNote 2003's ink handling. He mentions particularly my application as using the standard ink control. He is confusing the control with the underlying ink collection and rendering technology. TEO has never used a standard ink control (InkPicture, InkOverlay, etc). The controls are custom, but I did use the ink collection and rendering API's. OneNote 2003 should have done the same. His argument about being limited by the operating system components sounds like a "do what I say, not what I do" cop out. If everybody had that attitude about using platform API's then every application would look like Photoshop and Microsoft would NOT have a dominant operating system because such apps that don't use these API's are easily portable to other operating systems. Sorry but as a Microsoft centric developer, I have a big problem with this explanation.

Oh sorry if I sound irritated in my last post. I'm still stewing over a completely different matter. I'm not a big Microsoft fan right now.

If Chris used Journal or TEO instead of OneNote then perhaps he would use his tablet more for taking handwritten Notes. OneNote 07 is much improved over previous versions but still not quite above Journal in handling ink.
