CES 2008: The GBM Team, The HP TX2000 Tablet PC, and the BlogHaus

- Warner Crocker

Teamwork is what it is all about at GottaBeMobile.com, and so when we get together and get our hands on a new device we go after it like, well, like kids in a candy store. While at the BlogHaus, Rob, Sierra, and Warner just happened to get their hands on HP’s new TX2000 Tablet PC that Chris Aarons was sporting around, and we give it a once, twice, and several times over. How does that new digitizer work for Inking? You’ll need to watch the video to find out.

I might be wrong but doesn't the vectoring indicate the possibility of multi-touch if the proper drivers are installed with software that can take advatnage of it?

I would like to see more demonstration of the pen. I saw you hover, but a lot of the inking looked like it could just as easily have been done with a stylus. Check out the eraser, and such. Maybe you have another Wacom pen you could try out.

This is fun to watch. I hope you can do a similar video with the Toshiba M700. I wish the 2000x had a slice battery, though.

Are you guys producing all this on the OQO??? That is impressive.

After looking at the video that screen on the TX2000 is so damn glossy and reflective was having a hard time seeing what was going on in the screen. All I was seeing were lights and faces reflected off the screen surface.

The screen is glossy, but a lot of the reflection you see is due to the lights set up for video blogging here at the BlogHaus.
