CES 2008: The Lenovo IdeaPad U110

- Warner Crocker

The Lenovo IdeaPad U110 while not a UMPC or a Tablet PC is certainly an intriguing little small device. It is tiny and shiny and with that red cover will certainly stand out in a crowd. And guess what, for security how would you like to try Facial Recognition on for size? Well, that’s what you will be able to do if you get your hands on this small device.

Looked like the track stick was there but pushed up next to the screen hinge toward the left... not so pshyched about that since my fingers are quite used to finding it there on the keyboard. This also makes me think the keyboard will be undersized to fit such a small device too. I will be curious to see this implementation as one of the trademarks of thinkpad for so long has been the great keyboard.
Would be a nice time for them to reuse the extending butterfly keyboard from way back on the 700 or something thinkpad... anyone remember those?
