Color Me Impressed!

- Rob Bushway

imageTabletKiosk is breaking out the paint brushes and introducing one-of-a-kind color tablet pcs!  These special color tablet pcs will be available for auction via TabletKiosk's website sporadically throughout the year.

Unfortunately, the first of the bunch, a bright red one, has already been claimed by Martin Smekal, TabletKiosk president. Come on, Martin - where's the fun in coming out with a red one if you are not gonna give it to me? :-)

What colors do you want folks?

No real surprise that the owner claimed the first one. They are an odd company, not real customer friendly....This post will probably get cut out since the GBM group is pretty tight with TK, but really, why would you flaunt something that the consumer can not even get....

Hello Fred,

I'm sorry to see that you feel we are not "real customer friendly" - and I would be interested in knowing why you feel that way, as I would like to make sure we can address your perceptions and reverse this image. We value our customers very much and often seek them out for feedback and comments on how we might be able to improve our systems to better meet their demands. Now, some request’s we just can’t meet ($200 TabletPC, Quadcore – SXGA slate at ¾” thickness and 1.5 lbs, 12 hour battery life, etc) due to factors beyond our direct control or limitations of current technology – but I assure you we continue to listen and we are working towards these goals.

The Red unit in question here, was actually a surprise gift from our R&D team to me, but upon seeing it, I green lighted the development of one-off custom colors (even though this goes against our business model as a B2B and not a B2C company) – to provide something to consumers that was not immediately available from other vendors. These units should become avaialbe in the later half of this business quarter.

Regarding our relationship with GottaBeMobile, we share a mutual respect for one another, and GBM has provided both positive and negative reviews of our products in the past. We appreciate and encourage their candor and do not seek any sort of censorship from them.
