CES 2008: GBM Hands On With The Asus R50A

On Tuesday, Sierra and I spent some time with Asus' newest UMPC, the R50A. As you'll see, we had some performance issues with it, but they could be early production models. Guess we'll find out as folks begin to get them in their hands.

Yep, I know. :) I actually tried doing that with the joystick/left click, but sometimes the OS is just too busy to pay attention. Based on the feel of the spinning hard drive in that unit, it was thrashing the drive pretty hard doing who knows what.

Another website is reporting that this device will cost about 1000 pounds in Europe. Ouch.
