Netronix E-Book Reader Ads Touch

- Warner Crocker

Although the Netronix EB-100 E-Book Reader is a similar, if not the exact, design to the Bookeen Cybook V3, I think this is the first E-Ink based book reader we’ve seen with a touch screen. (Someone correct me if I’m wrong.) While I prefer my digital books via audio, I would love to see E-Book readers all have touch screens. It just seems, I don’t know, shall we say a natural.

Wraith - You are providing a great intro for my iLiad InkShows. I hope to have the first posted today or tomorrow. :)

Sierra:

While talking with the iRex folks can you ask if they will ever consider a device similar to the current piece but running WinCE? There is an appreciable market for an iLiad type device (mainly due to the eInk screen and power savings) for the mobile data gathering/verification markets. We developer types would find it easier to port existing apps to the WinCE platform. Also, if you know of any mfg's offering eInk screens on WinCE or similar devices, I'd love to know about them. I've not seen any movement from the Ricavision E-Reader for SideShow, etc. I just hoped the with your Intel background and travels now, you'd run across someone...

Rob: I've sent you an email relative to the F5.

TIA
