Nokia N810 Internet Tablet Arrives

- Rob Bushway

Well, all the talk might be about Dell today, but Mr. FedEx delivered something nice and shiny to my office today - a Nokia N810 Internet Tablet. Checkout the unboxing - more to come later as I get around to using it

I agree with you on the keys not being too close to the screen frame. But anyone with fingernails will have a problem!!

ROb, you need to smile more, just kidding, hehe. Great video, as usual.

Great unboxing video ! When you review the N810 please address the practical aspect of using the devise as a laptop replacement for a short business trip for a mobile professional. The only thing holding me back from buying one right now is the lack of finding software to work with Office documents so that I can read and edit email attachments.

It's NOT a laptop replacement and never will be. Stop expecting that!
It is a PIMP device! (Personal Internet Media Player)
that being said Docs to Go would be well advised to come out with a Linux based version that will run on MAEMO, that would be awesome and just what my PIMP needs.

This is on my Christmas wishlist.

I would like to see if Open office can be installed on the 810. I enjoyed the Thoughtfix comparison, and if Open office could be put on this little baby, I would prefer something like this over the EeePC.

Looking forward to the Inkshow/review.

PS. I hope you weren't involved in all the hullabaloo over there this past weekend.
Steven
