TEO 3.0 Beta 1 now available

- Rob Bushway

Josh Einstein has officially announced the availability of TEO 3.0 Beta 1. Download information and release notes are here. Support forums can be found here.

Josh had this to say on his blog:

No April Fool's joke here. TEO 3.0 Beta 1 is finally available. This is a very limited time beta. Another build will be released in the next two weeks that has an extended time limit. Please please please read the release notes in their entirety before downloading.

Also, I am not going to be replying to any TEO 3.0-specific email for the weekend because I promised Heather that once this milestone was hit, I would take a little downtime. So any questions you have must go to the forum. Anyone who knows me knows I'm going to check in from time to time anyway.

Note: TEO 3.0 Beta 1 is not currently supported in Office 2007.

I'm running Office 2007 but am too chicken to try this out on my install - anyone tried it yet with the new BT1 version of Outlook?!

I'm installing on my Office 2007 installation...I'll let you know. Josh says it should work - worse case is you just turn off the Override option. Josh says that the View in Outlook function might not work.

I have installed it on Outlook 2007 and TEO crashes alot - in fact, none of the screens will come up. I'd suggest not installing it on a Office 2007 implementation until it is supported.

Not entirely surprising. I haven't tried it in Outlook 2007 since the very early beta several months ago. Now that I have a beta out I don't mind screwing up my system so much and I'll give Outlook 2007 a try. It definitely will be supported.

Yea, with Outlook 2007 TEO 3.0 beta is about as stable as a hollywood star without their medications
