Epson Unveils High-Res Ink Paper

- Warner Crocker

AT SID 2008, Epson unveiled an A4 (13.4 inch) eletronic paper with a pixel count of 3104 x 4128 and a resolution of 385ppi. Epson is using the electrophoretic technologoy from E Ink Corp as well as a polycrystal technolgoy from Sieko Epson. Lots of numbers but what’s it all mean? Basically, the move towards a digital paper continues, but we aren’t really there yet.
