Actually if you look at the wording in the photo carefully you see the Fujitsu is not a 'Turn Tablet PC' but a 'Turn Table PC' - this suggests a multi-media PC dedicated to music or something rather than a Tablet PC?

The feet and lid do vaguely remind me of a turntable. As Rod pointed out, it sure does look like it says "Turn Table PC" on the sheet below the device. I think I can also make out "This is a prototype", "DJ", and "quick editing". I wonder if there is a better picture or writeup of this text somewhere?

In the second picture, you can see that there might be another screen on top of the lid! And in the reflection of the lid in the background, you can see some concentric circles that look like the platter on a turntable! So the "DJ" could control a virtual turntable by touch? I wonder if this would have multiple finger control?

Yup, found more details and a picture of the top of the lid here:

http://www.digitalworldtokyo.com/2006/10/ceatec_fujitsus_futuristic_pro.php

"The Turn Table PC (top) represents one possibility for a home entertainment PC that can switch between being used as a notebook computer or as a digital turntable, allowing aspiring DJs to scratch and spin digital media files. The design calls for a 20in LCD screen that can be folded closed to use the turntable function.

The turntable function would be controlled by a touch screen on the outside of the notebook's lid."

I'm still not clear if the touch screen on the lid is an active display area, or if the touch controls are fixed.

There are also more details on the smaller device shown by Fujitsu:

"The other design that Fujistu showed is the Ultra Mobile (above), a handheld-computer with a touch-screen that includes a built-in digital camera, a digital music player and support for wireless Internet access. The same size as a CD jewel case, the Ultra Mobile uses a novel method to turn the system on and off: users rotate the front half of the machine, including the screen, 45 degrees, changing the computer's shape from a square to a star."

OK, after posting those last two comments, I realized that the GBM writer for this entry is also named Matt, so I hope I didn't cause any confusion.
