GoBinder 2006 officially released

- Rob Bushway

Well, this comes as a surprise. According to Agilix’s press release, GoBinder 2006 has been officially released. I’ve checked their beta support page and there is no announcement there, although it does appear on their homepage.

Checkout our InkShow for a good overview of GoBinder 2006.  Download the new version (build 2029) here . If you are a beta tester, go to Help / Check For Updates to download the update.  This upgrade is free for existing GoBinder 2005 users, $99 for new installations.  Here is a little snippet of their press release.

The new 2006 version of GoBinder adds better course and personal project management. A new course tab feature enables students to store all course content, personal notes, contacts, tasks and appointments that relate to a specific course. This gives students two views of their information—one by course and a second being a global view. All contacts, tasks and appointments for all courses and extracurricular activity can still be accessed through the calendar, and task and contact managers. The course tab feature can also be used for basic project management, enabling students and professionals to manage all meetings, people, assignments and information related to a project in one place.

Love your new site, Rob and Dennis. congatulations!
You deserve a little more recognition. About time you got a place of your own.
Just one thing, Rob. I was an avid reader of your blog, news about your family, Maggie and all- (I've been in a similar situation myself, and prayed for you guys). So why can't anyone read it anymore?
Thanks, sunripen

Thanks, sunripen. I really appreciate your wonderful encouragement.

I'm running my own personal blog at www.RobBushway.com now. I just launched it last week at the same time of this site, so I have not posted much to it, but it will be getting a lot of content as well, probably beginning this weekend. Probably a post every day or so.

With GottaBeMobile.com being a commercial venture for us, I wanted to seperate my personal blog posts from the technology ones, although I will probably be blogging some technology stuff over there as well.

Thanks for asking!

Great Inkshow on GoBinder 2006. However, I would love to see a comparision between TEO 3 and Plan Plus 5 For Windows XP. I am cosidering one or the other. Let your new Gottabemobile community know what you can do.

Thanks.

Ken:

You'll find that Plan Plus for XP is exactly the same as GoBinder 2006, except for added time planning plug-ins. The functionality from a calendar and task perspective is exactly the same.

With the TEO 3 inkshow and the GoBinder 2006 inkshow, you should have that comparison there.

Is there something in particular you are wanting to know / see? Are you wanting a side by side InkShow?

Looks like since I use Outlook now with the Plan Plus 3 for Outlook. I should just add TEO 3 and I will have it all. No need to switch to another program and then sync with outlook. As long as TEO 3 works with Plan Plus for Outlook.

Thanks.

Since TEO overrides Outlook's "inspector" windows and Plan Plus doesn't, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't work together in TEO 3. I don't personally use Plan Plus for Outlook but several customers have indicated that they work fine together in the current version so I don't forsee any obvious problems in 3.0.
