Hugo Does The Raon Digital Everun

- Warner Crocker

Hugo and the Fedex man had lots of fun dealing with delays this week, but he finally got the new gadget he was waiting for. No, that’s not an iPhone in his hands in the picture, it is a Raon Digital Everun. Hugo has posted a short YouTube video about the device which includes his trip to the Fedex depot. I think this may be the frist unboxing video in a car. I’m glad I’m not the only GBMer who does videos in a car.

Thanks Rob...can't wait to do my InkShow on this one. It's a sweet device.

I particularly liked the closing seen where Hugo is driving his car while looking at his new device and the camera but not the road! What would he tell the Police if he had an accident? "Excuse me, I am a technophile and just couldn't take my eyes off this device. I just didn't see the road or that other car!" Oh the drama!

That is hilarious Hugo!

How much fun is that, espcially the unexpected phone call part. Sad part is that Rob will surely start hasslking you about how big that thingh is and how you can't carry it around with you on your belt. You are really gonna have to get a safari jacket mate!

Great job.

@Bruce - I truly believe that every real geek has a sixth sense and skill to both be driving and operating mobile gadgets that mere mortals do not possess. If you are not a real geek - DO NOT TRY THIS IN YOUR CAR, but if you are a true geek, it just has GottaBeDone! :-)

Hugo,

First of all, you're such a natural for these type of webcasts. You make us feel like we're in the car with you. That's talent, Mate! Second of all, I really hope the device comes with Bluetooth integrated. Although I'm a huge gadget geek, I would like to minimize the amount of times I want to look like a nerd in public, and having that device against your face might do just that.

Putting all negativity aside, that device is amazing. The rotation sensitivity, the seamless integration with your SIM card, in a package slightly larger than your current phone. WOW! Looking forward to all your insight.

Wow, pretty neat device. First time I've been impressed with anything like the UMPC. With a headset, it might be a great phone, too -- like Big D above, I don't see myself holding that thing up to my ear for too long without looking like a throwback to 1970's "car phone" tech. Great inkshow!
