JKK's Slate UMPC Design - Wow!

- Rob Bushway

tablet4 Some Ultra-Mobile PC OEM needs to get this man a job! JKK has posted up an impressive series of design prototypes on what he'd like to see for a slate based UMPC.

Here are the specs, and be sure to check out the all of the pictures. What do you think? What has he got right / wrong?

Personally, I think JKK is right on the money with the specs: 1.2 ghz, Core 2 with 1024 x 600 resolution. I especially like the 2-way stand.

1.20GHz Intel® Core™ 2 Solo Processor U2200
2Gb RAM
120Gb Hd
7 inch 1024 x 600 LED screen with active digitizer and soft touch with auto switch and auto rotation
Wifi and Bluetooth
Dual mode hardware buttons, user programmable, with application recognition
Fingerprint reader
SD slot
Integrated 2-way stand

Options:

64Gb SSD
WWAN, integrated EVDO or HSPA or Wimax
Docking Station
