Lenovo Outlet Store Revamped

- Rob Bushway

Eddie VanDerbeck just let us know that Lenovo's Outlet store has been totally revamped. He was able to pick up a smokin' deal on a "closed box-return" X61 XGA MultiTouch for about $1200 - that is one heck of a price. The best part is that the inventory is real-time, so whatever they show in stock is what they have.

If you are looking for some good deals on a Lenovo Tablet PC, head over and check it out.

Watch the specs though, the refurb X61s that I looked at for incredible $750 range are running Vista Home BASIC. So figure an OS into your calculations. (Probably why they were returned.)

This was a "closed box" return; not a refurb. The config that I picked up was for a Win-XP/TPC Edition, 1G RAM, L7500 processor, 100G-7200rpm drive, 8 cell battery, free shiping, if my memory serves me. I have not gotten the reciept yet with the exact order details, just a order confirmation. Yea! Just in time to replace the X60 eval I have to return to Lenovo!

Wasn't questioning you, Eddie. I just went over there and got dazzled by the $750 range, and then read the fine print. I wanted to let others know to check hard. My question is why would Lenovo even sell a convertible with an OS that doesn't support the pen? They do seem to have the digitizer. Just seems weird.

Too bad I just bought a spare power adapter, I could have saved over $20

You are correct about being an informed buyer. Good advice. I found a 90watt power adapter for $12. You really have to be quick.

Does anyone know if the X61's that are "XGA" on this site are multitouch?
A quick response would be great.. the Lenovo december sale ends today..
Thanks!
