Guys -

Do you know if the extended warranty on these is the 'accidental drop - repair' kind? In other words, is this just a standard parts and labor deal or does it cover accidents as well?

I don't believe it includes the accidental coverage. It would definitely be worth a call, though.

let us know what you hear.

I will. This will be on my order list very, very soon. Finally a replacement to my trusted M200!

The custom order page appears to be for only one model of the X60. The options do not seem to offer the multitouch screen or the pre-n wireless.

Does anyone know where the option is for built in EVDO card? How about the pre-n wireless? These are two features I want before I hit submit on the cart.

The WWAN option is available on the 2nd page of the configure options. At the moment it lists a Verizon option for $249.

As to the draft-n wireless it doesn't appear, but I believe Lenovo told us that some options would be rolling out later in December and I'm guessing this is one of those.

I'm going to back off of that previous comment. As I look at it more closely, that may or may not be the WWAN option. It may only be a PC type card.

Yes, that is what I believed it to be was a PC Card, not the integrated WWAN.

Warner - can you ask the question of availability of integrated WWAN to Mike Hagerty of Lenovo? I have contacted Lenovo myself but they did not have any answers for me. I (and the tablet community) would really appreciate it (and I can order my new tablet!).

Happy to ask and we will, though our connections may or may not be able to tell us this. Remember with the WWAN options, they need FCC approval in order to ship the product. I don't know this to be the case, but I'm speculating it might have something to do with it.

I spent $1500 some on one with 1gb memory, 80gb hard drive, and multitouch... Now the same configuration is over $2,000 on this page... Did I just get incredibly lucky, or will they shaft me and increase the charge to my CC after the fact?

Warner-have you been able to get a response from Mike Haggerty?

We've pinged our sources with questions but at the moment have no news to report. Not trying to be evasive at all, we just haven't heard back.

Warner - I called Lenovo and got an answer. It looks like early January. Here is my post about it (doesn't say much more) - http://www.wrightin.gs/2006/12/lenovo_x60_inte.html

Just to help you guys out. You can get a preconfigured x60t with a whole variety of options. The one I got was the 636394u, which includes Verizon WWAN built in, ultrabase with DVDRW, and 120gb 5400 HD. Mine is shipping 1/2/06. The only thing that it doesn't look like will happen for a very long time is that you cannot get BOTH WWAN and draft n wifi at the same time.
Good luck!
Allen
