Microsoft Buys Firefox! Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

- Warner Crocker

FirefoxParody alert. Parody alert. This will shake up a few folks if they just catch it in a feedreader. Very funny parody of what the marketing of Microsoft Firefox 2007 would look like. I like this one:

dot Stay Secure on the Web

Firefox 2007's new TakeOver(TM) technology protects the Windows Kernel by automatically recognizing all McAfee and Symantec programs as viruses. Downloading has never been safer

Check out more of the fun here.

UPDATE: Even funnier, the picture is not displaying correctly in IE7 but does in Firefox. Go figure.

I've had lots of responses. The funniest are the people who don't get it:

"Get real! This is a hoax."

"Did you read the notes about some of the following sites may cause MSFirefox to shut down unexpectedly: gmail, yahoo, google, etc. as well as any site that has "bill sucks" somewhere in their Web site. What's up with that?"

"Nonsense. This is a very early April Fool's stunt. Just read the text on the link you provided. Look at what the subject of increased download speeds is. "TakerOver technology". System Requirements: Microsoft mouse & keyboard! Dangerous CPU temperatures. Quad Core CPU. 1 GB RAM. 483 MB HD space! Microsoft "international non-profit organisation [sic]" (Americans don't spell "organisation" that way)."

Why would they do that when IE has been more secure than Firefox in 2006? Get the facts:
