Mocked Up Apple Tablet

- Warner Crocker

Don’t get too excited or your shorts all in a bunch. This is just Chris Messina’s speculation on what an Apple tablet MIGHT look like. He calls it the iPad Touch, which makes sense.

Appletablet

I keep saying from what I’m seeing in Apple’s UI that it sure feels like they are headed towards a touch-centric tablet sooner rather than later. Chris seems to agree. For more pictures and more rationale check out Chris’s blog here.

Thanks for the link, Loren.

Chris did a great job with this mock-up. I'd buy one. :-) Especially if that cool on-screen keyboard used the tactile feedback patent I wrote about last week. Then I could know I was keeping my fingers on home row while I type out new blog posts.

Some of the comments over on Chris' site are valid criticisms, not of the design, but of the idea. With Chris' proposed price point, it's just a bit above an iPhone and a bit below the MacBook, so who is the target market (aside from me)?
