Ripple Tablet T8100??

- Matt Faulkner

There are some images over on Aving USA, but not a whole lot of details...  Just a bunch of images.  What do you think of the buttons on the palm rest?  I would hope there is some way you can turn them off or I can see a bunch of problems.  I'll see if I can dig anything more up on Ripple.

EDIT - Thanks to robphy who beat me to the punch in the comments with a link (Translated from Korean to English):

  • Penryn Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 (2.1GHz. 3MB)
  • Intel GM965 + ICH8M
  • 12.1 TFT LCD (resolution 1280 * 800)
  • 1GB DDR2 667MHz mounting
  • DVD ODD Super Multi dual-layer DVD recorder
  • 2.5 inches SATA HDD 120GB

Thanks for the Link JKK!!

The palm rest buttons look flat and flush. They could be designed to require a deliberate finger press and not able to be activated by a palm press. If so, I think it's a good use of wasted space.

Why is it it just looks like stickers to me, maybe i'm looking @ the wrong thing?

Well, it at least looks nice.

Guess we all have to wait to see about price and availability

I think they are stickers, as DRTigerlilly suggests.
Look at these images of other Ripple portables

(See the bottom of this huge 600x11015 image.)

You can read the contents of the squares:
One describes the screen size... another DVD, USB, wi-fi, etc...
