Ruggedized Tablet PCs In The News

- Warner Crocker

I’m always fascinated by the ruggedized Tablet PC segment of the market. Never had the opportunity to have one in my hand, but would love to some day. In any regard, some interesting news in that space:

One of the best looking (as far as design goes in the pictures I’ve seen) ruggedized units, The Hammerhead has been given FCC approval.

We’ve reported about Xplore Technologies models before (here and here) and now a German firm, Acturion Datasys, will be marketing the new Xplore iX104 as the Victum-Tablet iX104C3. (Not sure how I feel about the name Victum, but maybe something is lost in translation?) Here’s more info on that annoucnment.
