SBP Mobile Shell Review - Mobility Site

- Matt Faulkner

ProViewWe don't do too much on mobile phones on the site, but this is a program that looks like a real treat for any Windows Mobile users.  It's a wonderful looking 'shell' for your windows based phone.  Today I did a download of the trial and I have to say that it looks like it might be a keeper.  That download was spurred by the nice review over on Mobility Site.  Head over and check out the review and then download the trial.

It's on my Tilt now - and running on a custom ROM.  Any readers out there running SBP Mobile Shell??  Any other SBP Products?

I haven't used Mobile Shell, but I do use SPB Diary and SPB Weather. I find that the company does a good job supporting Windows mobile.

I've been using Mobile Shell since it came out a year or so ago. The new 2.0 is an excellent update. I also use SPB Weather, Diary, Time, etc.

yep... I'm a SPB junkie too. Absolutely would not use a Windows mobile device without it. Great stuff. 2.0 is brilliant.

I installed the trial, and it erased my contacts, i also found that it slowed down my phone, and i find pointui home better in terms of finger manipulation. The animations are nice, but i have alot of skyscape medical book/resources on my 8525 and they all have the same icon, it is impossible to distinguish what they are from the recently used programs list, and even though I have folders i've created w/ programs on my start menu, there's no way to access these folders from the spb shell interface.
