Some Words on Those Vista Hotfixes

- Warner Crocker

Yesterday’s news was all about the Vista hotfixes that may or may not be released soon. Apparently the hotfixes were released to a select number of beta testers and someone decided to release those hotfixes to the web. Microsoft has since forced the removal of of the leaked fixes. Speculation is still all over the map as to when and how these will be released, so the best course of action on that front is to just wait and see. That said, a few words still trickled out about how they worked.

Colin Walker who gives excellent reports that are always worth following on betas and new software, got his hands on the fixes legitimately and has posted a few of his early thoughts here.
